New Snow Procedures -
We have received some calls with concerns around the way the two-hour delay was handled. We understand the confusion because the new procedure to allow for a cold weather two-hour delay for yellow bus riders was not clearly communicated prior to January 22, 2014.
Everyone should have received an email on January 22nd from Janet Walsh outlining the expectations for staff arrivals. Under the guidance of the Instructional Leadership Team, it is important that individual teams devise a plan to have staff coverage in the building (during Plan A or B delay) to receive students that arrive at the regular time.
Our hope is that school teams will work together cooperatively to ensure their buildings run smoothly during these difficult weather conditions. We also hope principals will be understanding that during these times some staff members may experience delays in arriving at the regular start time. Any certificated staff that is docked for being tardy should contact Don Luckie or Christie Bryant, CFT Field Representatives, and it will be handled on a case by case basis.
